Hey guys guess what, US Navy rear Admiral Michael Studeman arrived in Taipei, Taiwan on yesterday on Sunday. For those who never heard of him, he is a two-star navy admiral overseeing U.S. military intelligence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Although the whole visit is suppose to be classified top secret Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) confirmed on Sunday that a U.S. official had arrived in the country, but did not provide any details, adding the visit has not been made public. Yeah...right, Taiwan leaked it on purpose to piss of China...and I'm glad they did. Rub this in Chinas nose!
MOFA said in a short statement there were frequent interactions with Washington and that “we welcome the visit of the U.S. official.” It also added, “But as this itinerary has not been made public, based on mutual trust between Taiwan and the United States, the Foreign Ministry has no further explanation or comment.”
Lets explain why one star admirals and generals are being sent to Taiwan so frequently, yes it happens often. First off, Taiwan is untouchable while the US admiral is in Taiwan. Yes you heard me right. Second US negotiations are heading to a US military base on Taiwan soil for the US Navy...similar to what Guam has. Only time will tell for sure.
